Works well. Basically the same as the cnc router file on printables but at 160 I can’t get the plastic for that. Base is a solid chunk of hdpe. Top is acrylic sheet. Go slow, seal the plug hole and you should be good. There’s no other holes in the whole enclosure.
Love this!

Sadly disappointed to have my starlink not connect property after the first rain. I was very careful to follow the directions right down to the specific gorilla glue around the wiring harness. I’m 2 days outside of the window to return the item and have to buy a new dish to restore service.

We used this to convert our V2 Starlink dish to a flat-pack version and mounted it on top of our bus. Make sure you have already done the conversion to the dish FIRST and it's still working. Here are some tips for first-time users:Recommendations:- Fitting the old plug into the pre-routed hole might require some adjustment. You may need to reshape the hole with a plunge router—but BE CAREFUL when doing this.- Once you’ve inserted the plug and tested it by connecting the cable, use marine epoxy to seal the inside connector. This step is crucial for long-term durability.- The rubber gasket can be a bit tricky to position correctly, so take your time. Don’t rush—work slowly, and it’ll fit just fine.- After sealing everything, connect the dish to your system. Place it facing up towards the sky and power it on. Make sure everything is functioning properly before permanently mounting it on your roof. We’ve used Starlink at speeds over 75 mph, and it worked flawlessly. It connected our cell service, streamed music, and even ran a webcam as we streamed part of our 5,900-mile trip this summer on Facebook.

Had to make connector hole a little bigger, the seal is so cheap not sure if it will seal the dish or not, some of the holes for the cover did not line up , had to use a file to make it fit. not worth the 400 bucks, should of got the one i had before from star mount systems.

I did a bunch of research and watched videos before tackling this project. The best advice, which they say, is to take your time and be careful. I am fairly handy and this helps the process for sure. The hole in the base that the plug inserts in to was a bit small, so I had to use the dremel to widen it, but otherwise it worked as described. It was intimidating to cut into the dishy, but it is so nice to have it flat and secure for use with the new in motion service. Speed tests run so far are basically the same as when the dishy was mounted as adjustable.
