With a massive 120 dB dynamic range, the Scarlett 2i2 uses top-notch studio-grade converters, similar to those found in Focusrite's flagship RedNet interfaces used in high-end studios worldwide. Additionally, the interface boasts an Air Mode, which imparts the character of a big studio console, adding a high-end presence and rich harmonic drive to vocals and instruments. The Scarlett 2i2 Studio comes equipped with several user-friendly features, including Auto Gain, which automatically sets the perfect recording level when activated and played for ten seconds. The Clip Safe function adjusts the gain to prevent clipping, simulating the assistance of a professional engineer during your recording session. Dynamic Gain Halos on the hardware allow easy monitoring of input and output signals. All sources sound wonderful when using the bundled CM25 MkIII studio condenser mic, but especially vocalists and acoustic instruments. Loopback allows you to effortlessly generate custom audio samples from your computer's sound output by utilizing Scarlett's virtual inputs. Setting up for recording is made simple with Focusrite's Easy Start tool.
