About this item

  • Compatible with C-Mount CCTV / Cine lenses on Micro Four Thirds mount mirrorless cameras; Close Focus only
  • Constructed from anodized aluminum for durability
  • Quick and inexpensive way to adapt lenses to your camera
  • limited focusing range, limited image circle (nature of c-mount)
  • Limited 2-Year Manufacturer Warranty

Mirrorless cameras aren't only revolutionary because of their compact size; they're even more versatile for mounting lenses than their full-sized counterparts! Fotodiox offers strong support for mirrorless camera platforms with hundreds of options for mounting both modern and vintage lenses. Our adapters deliver infinity focus, manual aperture control, and a sturdy build for lasting quality. Compatible with all Micro Four Thirds Mount cameras. Please Note: This is a manual adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc. ) will be disrupted. Set your camera to “Manual’ or ‘Aperture Priority’ for metering. If camera does not release be sure to enable ‘shoot without lens’ in camera settings. Due to the C-mount flange being shorter than MFT there is no infinity focus.

please seller, get in touch with me, you're out of stock and i want to order more.

The flange distance seems to be incorrect which makes focusing CCTV lenses impossible beyond 30cm or so.

Item worked great with a variety of old cine lenses on my Micro four thirds cameras; manual mode of course.

Assolutamente stra-consigliata!

The product is fine, but there is an issue with the entire concept of mounting C mount lenses to a m4/3 camera. All C mount lenses are going to be a little different and this mount doesn't fit all of them. I suppose you could file down the rear of the lens but who wants to modify an expensive lens? Even if it does work for you, this adapter is going to have serious issues focusing to infinity. You simple cannot focus to inifinity, not without going to lots of trouble.Oh, and not to mention C mount lenses suck. The wider ones have extreme vignetting and if you need a 35mm C mount lens you could get a FD/FL canon lens for the same price and it'll be much sharper.Overall, dissapointed.

C-mount lenses, for the most part, do not cover the 4/3 format completely. You will get some circular cutoff. But, the adapter does work and it is fun to be able to use old lenses laying round and all their adapters, extension tubes, microscope adapters, etc. Can even mount experimental lenses on an old c-mount tube to play with. Good for creative images. Oh, and this adapter is cheap.

small, light, and works like a charm - fits on the camera body with firm twist. Had heard about the infinity focus problem so I tried 5 different c-mount lenses on an Olympus PEN E-PL5 and E-PL7 and all lenses worked. One lens did have the infinity focus problem but the other four did not. From some of the complaints I have seen, I am guessing that different camera mounts and different lens designs may have different sensitivity to this effect. I would recommend you try it out for your specific body + lens combo.Bodies that I used this on were Oly EPL5 and EPL7. Lenses were Sainsonic 35mm and 50mm (advertised on Amazon for ~ $25 each) and three lenses I inherited from an old Bolex 16mm movie camera. The only lens that could NOT do infinity focus was the Sainsonic 50mm.

I use it with an Olympus E-PL1 and a Fujian CCTV 35mm f/1.7 lens. The adapter itself is really well made, and attaches solidly to the camera body. I found none of the issues with focusing to infinity that other reviewers mention. In this regard, one point to keep in mind is that in some lenses the focus distance scale will go after the infinity mark to account for thermal effects.

Very good adapter. Note that many CCTV lens won't fully fit and won't focus to infinity because of that. The diameter of the hollow on this adapter is 36-36.5mm. It may prevent some C-mount lens with wider barrel from fully screwing into the adapter. This is not a flaw of this adapter. They can't make the hollow wider, there is no room. C-mount lens have shorter working distance than m4/3 and they fully use diameter of m4/3 lens mount. And of course, some lens designed for 1/3" sensor will only expose a circle on 4/3" sensor (tall enough to cover 4/3" sensor height in the worst case, usually more area is exposed)Smaller lens work fine and they focus to infinity. You may have to mod larger lens (file, dremel, or somehow else remove layer of metal from the barrel) in order to fully fit them.Without lens modification some bigger lens will have longest focus distance from 1 to 5 feet, depending on lens focal length. Which still may be enough for some applications.Fast (F1.8 and faster) C-mount lens can be bought for very little money. This opens a door for a lot of creativity and fun.

a little chunk of metal for 15 bucks? well I would usually complain about that but this thing basically took my gh1 from being a good hacked camera to an actual cinema-machine. I got the pentax lens just like the other guy from b&H and now my cam can pretty much see in the dark. Very stoked. Adapter has a nice tight fit and although there is no locking mechanism because of the screw in threads for the cctv lens, there has been no problem with it getting loose so far. go for it.

I'm using this with a Fujinon 12.5mm f/1.4 CCTV lens. It fits fine. The adapter feels solid. Only problem is that we don't *quite* get to infinity. And when I set the focus ring at 6', objects are actually in focus at around 3.5'. So I'm guessing I'm losing some focusing ability at short-range. If I could manage to file down the mating surface on the adapter, I'm told the problem could be resolved, but it seems to be made out of some kind of alien material that's impervious to my Dremel, or any other tool.
