It becomes rusty and will break after few uses., better to buy the normal chain ones.

If you're into making your own tea or even adding your own ingredients to a premade tea, this works very nicely.

The handle gets in the way of dinking your tea. I much prefer the kind with a chain and no handle.

Very thin and I worry about it breaking every time I use it! It does work for tea though. Holes are small enough that the leaves don't slip through - closes fairly tight as well, as long as you don't overfill it.

I got one of these in a subscription box and I'm quite happy with it. I find it to be at least as good as any other tea infuser of this type I've tried.I do not end up with loose tea in the bottom of my mug when I use this. It is important to make sure all the tea leaves are in the mesh "cup" and not touching the edge where this closes, or you will not get a proper closure and you could end up with leaves in your beverage. You may need a bit more hand strength than usual with this one, it is a bit tougher to squeeze open than some of my old ones. (I have tiny, weak hands though.)Mine was not rusty when I received it and has not shown any signs of rust or discoloration since. You can put these in the dishwasher, though, which I do periodically. The mesh has not shown any signs of deformation (I have some tea infusers where the ball part is half-crushed). I find it relatively easy to clean, as well.Anyway, I like keeping several of these around and I've been happy with the performance of this one.

These mesh infusers maintain a good seal and nice spring torque. Good quality, does its job.

For the price, the product isn't too bad. BUT, when you use it with loose leaf tea as you're supposed to, you end up with more tea in the bottom of your mug than anywhere else because it doesn't seal very well. And after squeezing it open and closed a few times, the mechanism shifts slightly and the two hemispheres become a bit offset from each other making it even more difficult to keep the tea in the infuser.
