Looks great. No sanding required - had a thin layer of poly on it. Liked the natural tone so left it as is. 30 min to assemble.

The shelves aren’t very deep so the books fall off. The edges are also unfinished and the screw holes are in very visible places like the top of the unit. They send a cheap shelf liner to cover the top and the screws and it looks tacky

Missing a leg, which was the most inconvenient part. required significant sanding - this was not a surprise. Seller included gloves and sandpaper. We primed and painted the entire thing to match our child’s room.

I thought the engineering of the wood pieces quite clever. There were pictures of assembly, but no real instructions. You have to put the screws in from the bottom by rotating the wood to find the holes. It was easy to assemble if you have experience in putting things together. This is not supposed to be fine furniture, just fun and hopefully usable storage. The pieces were finished with some kind of acrylic clear coating, no sanding really needed.
