never knew ghs makes nylon, but welcome the Nylon set. the perloid (silver-ish) bass strings are very attractive. dont know how long the set will last . . . will update. nothing too special on the tone...

In two sets of these strings, on two different guitars (admittedly cheap ones, but in good tune with their old strings), the B string wasn't quite right. The problem was more pronounced in one set than in the other, but in both, the B string, especially fretted at the fifth fret, made a wobbly tone as if it were out of tune with itself. The only explanation I can think of is that the thickness was uneven, creating uneven vibrations. In the worse of the two it made the guitar more or less impossible to tune. Otherwise the sound was pleasantly bright, and I can thoroughly recommend both E strings and the A, D, and G strings. It's just that B string that didn't work out for me, but that was enough to make me say I'd look for other strings in the future.--Update: After posting this review, I changed to D'Addario Pro Arte strings on one of those two guitars. It's still a cheap guitar, but now it's in perfect tune again, with no wobbly B string. So it was definitely the strings, not the guitar. It's a pity, because the GHS strings had a very good tone, maybe better than the D'Addario strings--except for that B string.
