These are my favorite acoustic guitar string. I use them on a Taylor 712ce-12fret. It's a Taylor, so it's bright, but not as bright as most Taylors. These strings conclude a 5 year journey to find the right string for my acoustic. I strongly encourage giving them a try.You can also buy them in bulk direct from GHS

The GHS White Bronze strings are incredible. I have a Carvin AE-185 hybrid guitar, which has both an acoustic piezo and humbuckers (I also have a Kiesel version of the AE-185). I switch back & forth instantly when playing backup chords through a looper and then improvising over them. I'd been using DR Zebra strings for years, thinking there was no other "hybrid" string in existence, but then DR discontinued them. I put the GHS White Bronze "Extra Light" strings on my Carvin and was blown away totally; they may be the brightest strings I've ever put on a guitar. The treble that these strings produce is electrifying, which is fine with me, because it's easier to tone down a bright sound than to try to emphasize a dull one. But don't worry about the bass end; ALL the strings are almost magical. The strings have incredible power through both the piezo and through both humbuckers. I don't know how these things work - I just know they DO. They're now my favorites - I just ordered nine sets, and will probably be ordering lots more soon. THANK YOU GHS!

Le ho montate sulla mia Recording king ros 16, eccezionali, suono molto equilibrato su basse , medie e alte. Brillanti al punto giusto. Ne ho provate tante, ma credo che queste saranno le definitive. Consigliatissime.

These strings are good. So are the Martin monel strings and D'Addario Nickle bronze. They are all good. But I don't find them like wow, I have to keep them on my guitar. The idea on all these nickle or monel strings or alloy 52, is that they give a neutral tone. Yes, i get it, but...I'm back to using PB strings, which I buy in bulk. Better to buy cheap strings that sound good and replace more often, than buy more expensive strings that sound good but I'm not blown away by. I flatpick a drednought acoustic...bluegrass, or just songs... Beatles. Oldies. Blues. When it comes to picks and strings, it's all subjective. Depending on your instrument or style of play, you might like these strings.

I play a Godin LGX-SA guitar, which has both magnetic (electric) and piezo (acoustic) pickups, and sends signals from each through two separate jacks simultaneously. I play it this way most of the time, sending the acoustic signal to one channel, and the electric signal through an effects pedalboard to another channel. The nickel strings that came on the guitar from the manufacturer worked ok, but not great. They sounded pretty good through the electric pickups, but pretty dead through the acoustic pickups. I used DR Zebra strings for a while, and they worked really well, but two things happened: 1. The Zebra strings sounded great for a week or two, and then sounded dead after that. They just lost their tone really quickly. 2. For some reason, my high E string kept breaking at the bridge, really often, and I hardly ever broke strings before I started using the Zerbas, especially not the high E string. Then I heard about these White Bronze strings from GHS. I ordered a set and tried them out, and LOVED them immediately. They sounded fantastic as both electric and acoustic strings, and they last a lot longer than the Zebras. I haven't broken a single one of these, either. They keep their tone and stay in tune really well for a really long time, too.I'm very happy using these strings in this way. Not a lot of people play both electric/acoustic simultaneously like I do, but they fit my specific needs really well.I have not tried them on any other guitars, so I can't speak to how well they work on a stand-alone electric or stand-alone acoustic guitar. But I would imagine that they would be great for either.

These have become my go-to guitar string of choice. I have them on my Martin, Loar Archtop with a P-90 and even have them on a resonator that has a humbucker pickup mounted beneath the strings.I've tried resonator strings on my resonator and with the exception of the high B & E strings, the other strings didn't pickup as loudly when plugged into an amp. Although these are a lighter gauge than traditional resonator strings, plucking the strings still gets a good vibration to the resonator cone. For my archtop I didn't want to put pure electric guitar strings or pure acoustic strings and the GHS hybrid white bronze gives me the right balance for the sound I want out of the archtop. And for my Martin, it's a full size mahogany dreadnought. I played the stock strings for a good 5 months and they gave the guitar a mellow tone and I thought that's just how the guitar sounded since it was an all solid wood mahogany. I finally swapped them out and tried a pair of these just to try it out and the brightness of the guitar came more alive with these strings. Added a new dimension to the sound of my Martin. There's a zillion guitar strings out there and everyone has an opinion and preference, but for me and my playing style, the GHS White bronze offer me versatility and as I swap between guitars, the feel and dexterity is consistent on my fingers while allowing the resonance and sound of each guitar to shine.
