Symptoms of crankshaft position sensor malfunction
1. The engine cannot start
The failure of the crankshaft position sensor may cause the engine to fail to start. This is because the crankshaft position sensor is responsible for monitoring the position of the crankshaft. If the sensor fails, the engine control system cannot know the position of the crankshaft, which prevents the spark plug from being ignited correctly, resulting in the engine being unable to start.
2. Engine stall
A malfunction of the crankshaft position sensor may also cause the engine to stall. When a sensor malfunctions, the engine control system may not be able to obtain accurate crankshaft position information, thus preventing proper control of fuel injection and ignition timing, resulting in engine stall.
3. Abnormal engine shaking, unstable engine operation, and abnormal shaking.
4. Poor acceleration, weak or poor acceleration of the vehicle.

Needed to replace the crank position sensor on a 99 superglide, Amazon had the order delivered in less than 24 hours.The sensor does what it should. Being a multi-fit item, the leads were about 3 times the length of the factory fit piece.Installation was easy, disconnect the deutsch connector, un-pin the sensor leads, I used a wire as a fish tape when removing the original to aid in routing the replacement leads, and install the replacement in reverse order.

2003 Ultra Classic. Engine just quit. It would crank but got no spark. Crank position sensor went bad. This was a perfect fit and got me riding again.
