Hot coolant from the vehicle's engine is passed through a winding tube of the core, a heat exchanger between coolant and cabin air. Fins attached to the core tubes serve to increase surface for heat transfer to air that is forced past them, by a fan, thereby heating the passenger compartment.

I pouches for my 03 f,150 and only last 3 weeks and started to lose antifreeze from one pipe where it connects 😡😡😡😡

the pipe swivel separately from the fins it is not what you see on the pic they give in the description {it is welded on in the pic} like it is supposed to be so i will use JB weld to make it solid, i think if i don't it will leak latter down the line. there is not supposed to be any moving pieces on this part so i give it a false advertisement review and overall rating of one star. what i see on the page should be want i get.
