These are nice. If you are very particular, look for something fancier but for holding your guitar and doing it well this satisfies. I have not been brave enough to try my Gibson with nitro-cellulose lacquer yet but it has no issues with my other guitars.

My girlfriend just started learning drums so I downsizes my guitar area. I needed a wall solution but I don't love the old simple wall mount guitar hangers. I like these because they're very stable, sturdy and lock the guitar in place. The adapter allow me to fit various guitar head types including telecaster if I choose to put that on the wall. The installation was easy I just used a level. I did need to use my own metal wall anchors because our apartment is in a rehabilitated warehouse and the interior walls don't have studs. I haven't had issues with the how stable these hangers are and they swing slightly to allow the guitars to naturally hang with their individual center of gravity. They appear to be well made.

I have already 4 hercules stands at home and they all works perfectly. With a very strong hold in the wall, easy to install, they're the toughest on the market when it's time to hold your favorites gears. I use them for both suits and basses and it even allows to lower the space needed between them, as you can easily see in pics.I won't hesitate to strongly recommend these Hercules stands for anyone who loves his gears and want to protect it both strongly and nicely. It's the 5 star holder.

I made a 8 guitar hanging rack. Lined a 4x4 with these little guys and offset them from the board at about 35 degrees to give that nice angled look of them all in a row.Lemme tell you, these things worked well. All 8 packages none defective, all parts included. Was easy to integrate them into my project. Screws included are a little squishy but if your careful it's not a problem.I've used some of these things that get jammed up and are a hassle before, but these are great. Lift up on the neck, the tabs flip open and let you remove your instrument. Set it down, they lock closed to keep it safe.I'll be using this brand exclusively in the future for more rugged applications where i'd be nervous with the "String swing" models without the locking jaws.

I know many will advise against using this type of hanger with drywall anchors, but in my case, my walls are made of two sheets of 5/8" drywall for sound isolation. Stud finders work very poorly, and I'd need at least 3" screws to even reach the studs. Instead I used ; they are rated for 178lbs shear strength and I'm using 3 per hanger, so they are rock solid. If you can find a stud, you probably should, but you should be fine without as long as you use good quality drywall anchors. One of my basses is a 1986 Charvel neck through body that is very heavy and has a very angular headstock. I was a little worried about how well these hangers would work, but the combination of the swivel and the firm foam does a nice job solidly supporting the headstock.

Great mount - currently on my 4th one, not that they are breaking I am using all 4.Takes the weight well and does not damage the neck/head.Good security feature of the grip closing in the neck, stops little people grabbing them when they shouldn't which is nice. When mounting I really wouldn't use the enclosed screws and plugs - not a reflection on the hanger but if you are hanging a £3k guitar off the wall, you need to go deeper than an inch deep in the wall. I use 4 inch plugs to get a good grip and could hang off it myself so happy with the guitar on that. With it mounted on deep screws and plugs I am happy hanging PRS Customs and Fender CS's on the wall and off the floor finally! For:Holds guitar well and securelyEasy to mountTakes all weight guitars that i've foundAgainst:Could be closer to the wall for electric solid bodies, but means it works for acoustics too

My husband has 3 guitars that used to lie flat in cases under 2 different beds in our home. These guitars are expensive and beautiful - Les Paul Gibson guitars - and it was a shame that they were not on display. We purchased these hangers and displayed the guitars in his 'play' room. We love walking in/by the room and seeing them on the wall! BEAUTIFUL! He plays his guitars daily; they slip on and off the hooks easily and properly - the hooks are not flimsy and they are crafted well to not scratch the guitars. Wish we would have thought of this product sooner! Highly recommended!!!

I've got limited floor space, 2 Dean Dimebag ML style guitars and a small dog that likes to mark his territory on everything. So floor stands are out of question. At first I got one of the cheaper hangers. But the foam around the yokes wasn't very sturdy. It reminded me of the cheap foam you find on the floor stands. So I took a chance and spent 20 more bucks on one of these bad boys. The foam is a much thicker & sturdy and holds up well over time. I especially enjoy the weight-sensitive yoke locks. So when I got my 2nd Dean I immediately got another one of these Hercules GSP38WB wall mount. I was pleased to see that they added even MORE security with a locking device to go around the closed yoke locks. It's not gonna stop a criminal who has 1 minute of time to figure out what to do. It's more of a child-proof lock to keep toddlers from pushing up & releasing the guitar and damaging the headstock. And small children from figuring it out and playing around with the guitar.Makes me wish I had a 2nd lock for my other wall mount.

I got tired of my guitars laying around in corners so, I bought the first Hercules at a well-known pricey music chain for my Epiphone Les Paul copy. Because it is the heaviest guitar that I own, I figured I would try it first and if it worked out, I would buy a couple more on Amazon.Well, it worked out!Be aware that if you know nothing about basic carpentry, the screws and anchors included for installation are NOT suitable for drywall. Brick walls, wood, and concrete ARE suitable and work best.To hang on drywall the Best method I think is to get either a 2x4, or a 2x6. Paint it up and decorate it however you like. Now, get yourself a stud finder to find studs behind the drywall and visibly mark them with a pencil slightly wider than the 2x you decide to use. Put you 2x up to the stud marks and drill pilot holes for 3 1/2 or 4 inch wood screws. Anchor the 2x to the studs. Now you can secure your hanger(s) to the 2x! Remember to cut the to 2x to the length of your choice!!

I got three of these a few weeks ago and finally installed them to hang a bass and two guitars. The install was easy, just required a screw driver and a drill. Takes about 5 minutes to put in and then they're ready to hang. Mine aren't screwed into studs, just straight into the drywall using the drywall plugs that came with them. I've only had them up for about a week but they have shown no signs of losing their hold. The way it holds them is great too since it makes sure the guitar can't fall out of the front. And the swivel head makes it so it can hold a guitar with any kind of neck without making it look like it's sitting in it crookedly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to hang their guitars up.
