This is what I've come to expect from Hide & Drink, and I keep buying their stuff, so that's pretty good. This is a very simple design, crafted from pretty good materials. The leather is genuine, but isn't heavy weight, which I like because it keeps things smaller and more flexible. I wish H&D made a similar item in a smaller size as this one would expand to fit a Swiss champ and I use a smaller swiss army knife. hopefully it will stay fitted to what I'm using instead of loosening up over time. The design with the big swoop on the bottom makes this sheath look pretty big, but once it's on my belt, I don't feel it at all and since I'm generally wearing an untucked shirt over it, the look isn't an issue for me. Definitely more work wear, it's far from being dressy.

Even with a clip your knife works its way out of the pouch and the falls .

Fits my Swiss Champ perfectly and is a comfortable way to carry it. I forget it's there sometimes. I just hope it doesn't stretch out over time and become loose.

THIS IS A UPDATED REVIEW. It’s necessary NOW THAT THE SHEATH HAS BEEN BROKEN IN.After a month of daily hard use, the sheath now holds my SwissChamp instead of my Deluxe Tinker. The sheath has now stretched & relaxed it’s grip on the knife to the point that it’s become a little too loose for my liking. I’d still use it with the Deluxe Tinker, if it were not me needing to occasionally crawl on hands & knees, giving the knife opportunity to fall out.THE SWISSCHAMP IS WHAT THIS SHEATH IS IDEALLY MADE FOR.My Deluxe Tinker with Plus Scales, is my thickest 4 layer Swiss Army Knife & it fits easily in the Hide & Drink Leather Horizontal Holster. Thinner Swiss Army Knives can fit, but only looser. I would only suggest four layer SAK’s OR GREATER. For me, that means my Huntsman, Field Master, & Deluxe Tinker are all VERY easy fits.It’s stated the SwissChamp fits, and when new it’s a VERY Snug Fit indeed. At first it was a chore to extract and insert my SwissChamp with the sheath strapped to my side. But now after a month breaking in, the fit is smooth & snug.The sheath has a generous deep pocket, so it’d be smart to put a lanyard on your SAK, otherwise you’d be breaking fingernails pulling the knife out.The full grain leather has a beautiful rugged look, that will only get more rugged looking, as time goes on. Very satisfying purchase.

The sheath is new but has a nice broken-in look & feel, it's a perfect match for my vintage Buck 110 folding hunter. It holds the knife snuggly so it won't slip out, yet allows for easy access. The quality of the materials and craftsmanship are excellent. This is not only the best, but most reasonably priced product of this type that I could find anywhere. I'm very happy with this purchase, and highly recommend it...
