Fits like a glove. The bottom of the tray sits on the hull so I don't have to worry about it falling in like the previous shallower tray.You have to get the lid just right to close the hatch but it was like that with the OG tray. I usually don't use the lid and the hatch keeps everything dry. It's Hobie branded too so it's a great replacement/upgrade. Would recommend

Works as it should, No real need for the lid if you have a cover and quality gasket on your storage hatch. I bought this for my wife's Mirage Passport.It Can be used as an emergency "Restroom" for female Kayakers who can find a bridge to hide under but no clear banks or who may have concerns about Alligators.. ( True Story). Simply rinse out when you are done.. after all, there's plenty of water around.

I liked the idea of having a dry place to store things. I bought 2 of these for me and my wife's Passport. These expensive salad bowls are made of extremely thin material. The cover is difficult close and open. If the lid is not completely closed the kayak cover door won't close. There are no instructions on the purpose of the odd "U" shaped nich or what the holes in the lid do, as they don't line up with the small holes in the bowl. It is a good idea but poorly engineered and produced. You could find a similiar product at the 99 cent store.

I like that this product is deep. Stores more without cramming. BUT, it is flimsy. Does not hold its round shape and falls off of the lip if too much weight is stored. The product is useful with limitations.

This bucket fits my Hobie Compass kayak perfect. Going to be a good place to store my phone, sunscreen, etc.The lid didn’t fit down tight in one spot so I used my hairdryer to heat up the area, pushed it down and held it until the lid cooled. Voila!

I like that is not a shallow bucket. I mean who would ever want a shallow bucket? Over priced but its hobie so hurrah for branding. I flex on other non hobie buckets. Super easy to install just got to remember to remove the old bucket. Thoughts and prayers!

This gear bucket is perfectly sized for 8" hatches on Hobie Kayaks. The problem is the lid doesn't fit right and you end up spending too much time "setting the lid ideally" and then "setting the bucket ideally" in the hatch just so it fits and the hatch closes. Should be way easier, especially from Hobie.
