The sharp Fret-end is on the entire fret board both side , poor QC, can definitely cut your finger. I should return this guitar, but unfortunately I had through away the original packing cardboard. I guess i have to spend some addition $ to a profession shop to fix this problem . I will never look for any other guitar or instrument from Ibanez .

Fat chunky neck, however the weight of the guitar is decent, not heavy but not too light. I bought this without playing it, that being said I would have not bought it if I played it first. I own several Ibanez imports and artists. This guitar is the least of my favorites.

I did something that was actually a bit foolish. I fell in love with the looks of this guitar to such a degree that I ordered it before looking at most of the reviews on YouTube. After I placed my order, I started searching for every review I could find on the Ibanez AM93 guitar. (Yah, I know, pretty stupid! The reviewing should have taken place before the purchase) Every review that I listened to (Even the ones that were presented by some pretty accomplished guitarists) sounded thin and tinny with no depth or richness of tone. All I could think of is what a colossal mistake I just made. I tried to find comfort is telling myself that I ordered it from the Amazon website and they always accommodate me when I'm not satisfied! Well to make a long story just a little bit shorter; I took delivery of the guitar and it was very well packed and appeared to be in flawless condition. The strings had very little tension on them. I tuned the guitar up and found that the string height was unbelievably high. When I say high, I'm talking .090 on the 12th fret!!! So I lowered the action to .060 on both the high and low E strings for a starting point. I found absolutely no buzzing anywhere on the fretboard and what was truly incredible was that the intonation was all but perfect! Ok, it was time for the big disappointment (Or so I thought!) I plugged the guitar directly into my Fender Twin Reverb Reissue amp. I struck a few notes and some chords and after setting the tone and volume where I wanted it, I got one of the biggest smiles on my face I can ever remember!!! Wow!! What a beautiful, glorious tone! I thought about all those reviews I had witnessed and all I could think of is that they must have been playing this guitar through some mighty poor equipment. Either that or their recording equipment wasn't up to snuff. I had never owned a guitar before with Super 58 pickups and I was trying to decide what they reminded me of. Then it dawned on me! I pulled out my Cort X700 Duality which has The Seymour Duncan Jazz pickup on the neck and the tone was almost Identical! The only difference was that the Ibanez AM93 was just a little bit richer and warmer because it is a semi hollow and of course the Duality is a solid body. I have read reviews on various blogs which stated that the super 58s on Ibanez's mid and lower priced guitars weren't up to snuff when compared to their higher priced offerings. Don't listen to them! These pickups are fantastic and the AM93 by Ibanez is a fantastic guitar which I highly recommend!! One last thing, the store that I purchased this guitar from on Amazon is called " Photo Savings" They were great! I talked to a lady on the phone to verify some things before they shipped the product and she was incredibly helpful. Also the guitar was shipped very promptly and as I mentioned earlier, it was very well packaged. One last time, I highly recommend this guitar and I highly recommend this seller! If your looking for an absolutely great hollow body for under 700 bucks, then you can't go wrong with this one.Sincerely, Dennis

I bought the guitar in August 2020 and just realized I hadn't written a review.First, the seller was great. They processed the order and got it out the door even more quickly than estimated at time of purchase. I received the guitar quite promptly, and the courier thankfully had handled the box well. Everything was in great condition. Now the guitar itself: it just needed a bit of setup and it was good to go. The guitar's natural tone is warm and bright, and with a set of 10s on, it has both punch and shine. The weight and balance are very comfortable, and the width/girth of the neck is spot on. I can get a great Joe Bonamassa "Midnight Blues"-live tone when plugged in, and it's also great for rock, blues, and jazz tones, and with the pickup toggle in the middle and the tone knobs dialed right, I can even get a bit of twang.Anyway, this is my first semi-hollow guitar, and I love it so much that I even traded away my solid-body Les Paul style guitar. The Ibanez AM93 is doing everything I need a double-humbucker guitar to do, and at a price that I genuinely feel is lower than the guitar is worth after you factor in the enjoyment. If you're on the fence, I say go for it. I'm glad I did. 11/10 - would buy again.

This guitar sounds beautiful out the box. The craftmanship on this guitar is stunning for the price point. IT has gold hardware, great tuning stability, amazing pickups and a clean fretboard and finish. So glad i purchased this guitar for my collection. The tones this guitar can produce are perfect for blues or jazz guitarist and it has good versatility for rock and other tones.
