It was working amazing and then all of a sudden it stopped releasing my camera. It’s like the attachment and the tripod would get locked and the release would not work. Not sure why it stopped unlocking. I only got to use it for 1.5 weeks of my 2 week vacation. Very bummed.

The tripod itself is very solid and works great but my issue is with the so called quick release system, which is by no means quick, it's also very difficult to operate. I have encountered the following issues using this system:1. Release - it seems like it is really hard to release the system almost requiring too much force2. Reinsertion - I have yet to get it to properly align and lock into place, especially when mounted to a camera, scanner or any device3. Coupler - very hard to get into the locked / unlocked position see point 2For the money I am very disappointed

Rating this 4 stars instead of 5. Item was securely packaged, includes small pouch, warranty card and sticker. The item itself is great, feels sturdy and great quality. What is missing is an instruction manual, since its my first time using such an item, I have to watch like 2-3 youtube videos of vloggers just to know how they set it up and use it. A simple instruction manual on what to expect from the package with instructions on how to use would be great. I ended up buying a quick release plate ($30+ bucks) because it was not clear that it comes with the package. If you can't add those, maybe just add a QR code so it will link to a webpage or youtube video on what comes with the box, how to use and maximize our purchase step by step. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase, but instructions and proper branding I think would push this to be exceptional.

You won’t find a better, well-made, sturdy, tabletop tripod than this one. All metal construction, easily adjustable, and the ball head works fantastic at getting you and your camera to the right spot. I highly recommend it.

Very well built, stable, easy to use.The dependability, ease of use and stability is very much welcome on video shoots.

I love the product. It would be even greater if those legs stretched out a little further to provide added stability and attempt to bridge the difference with tripods. But still.. it's a great product and I love it so much I purchased two.. one with the monopod rod.

If you look on YouTube or the like you will find a ton of videos about ifootage monopods. I’m not going to try and replicate all of those reviews.I am going to focus on two things: using the mini tripod as a mini tripod, and using it with a Gitzo monopod. As a mini tripod this has some great features and some quirks. The legs lock into several fixed positions, which is better than some of the “good” mini tripods that count on friction. For example I have a smallrig mini tripod that I only ever use at the lowest position because it doesn’t lock. The quick disconnect is the least valuable feature. They sell the plates for it so you could have a video head and a ball head ready to swap out but unless you can buy the socket part to add to other tripods you are going to be leaving one head attached to this or unscrewing heads anyway. The quick disconnect adds height so the tripod ends up being fairly tall even at the lowest setting. It’s also fairly stiff to use. Looking at this just as a tripod I’d prefer an arca plate and a thumb screw for adjusting. The foot pedal is really good in monopod mode but hard to use with your hands. Also, it doesn’t lock in any position except straight up.I already had a Gitzo monopod I’ve been using a long time. The rubber nub/steel spike on the Gitzo is a 3/8 thread. Unscrew it, and the iFootage tripod screws on easily. I’d rather use what I have over buying something I already own. There foot pedal action is really convenient on a monopod. The quick centering is great. The maximum lean angle, on the other hand, is taking some getting used to. I’ve spent years leaning the monopod more than this thing allows. That’s not a fault of the tripod but something to keep in mind. The downside to using this with your own monopod, again, is that they don’t seem to sell the quick disconnect socket. If they did, I would put one on my Gitzo and have all the features of the ifootage system without buying something I already have. As it stands, I can and will use this as a foot for my monopod but the quick disconnect might as well but be there. On flat level ground you can stand the monopod up on the tripod feet, but it makes me really nervous to have a camera balanced that way even in a controlled environment. For one shoot I used it that way with a magic arm and some clamps attached to a desk just in case someone got too close, and it allowed a camera placement that would have been difficult with a tripod. So, I think my short summary is this: if you want it as a mini tripod, i suspect the non-pedal version is better. If you want this as a foot for your existing monopod, the pedal tripod is nice but you won’t get the feature of being able to quickly convert from monopod to mini tripod because they don’t sell the QD base.
