This carbon monoxide detector is very easy to set up and includes a CR123A lithium battery. Once the battery was installed, the detector emitted a shrill beep to let me know it's working. The unit has a green light to let the occupant know it's on standby. While there is no way to do an ultimate test of detecting carbon monoxide, I have faith that it will do its job if/when the time arises.I love that this detector is designed so that it doesn't block the other plug in your outlet. It draws its main power source from electricity, while the lithium battery provides backup power. It's also nice that the low battery reminder will mute itself in 10-hour cycles so that it doesn't disrupt your peace.There's a vague statement in the listing that says, "Cover 20-40 M2." Fortunately, the listing also includes an illustration showing how large an area a single unit covers. If M2 means square meters, then the equivalent should be around 431 square feet. Therefore, having several throughout the house would be wise (the seller offers them in packs of single, double, and quadruple). The listing price of $27.99 (single unit) is certainly in line with the quality, ease of use, and 10-year lifespan.

Easy to use, just plug it in an forget about it. It's green in the middle. Just wish there was even a basic display of info. Would definitely add more peace of mind seeing a number here or there.
