Preferred fine and thick flock. For the simple distinction, the corresponding graininess is printed on the back of the sponge.

The grinding sponge can be bent as desired without damaging the paint surface, and is ideal for grinding arched surfaces

These are great sanding pads for smaller and fine detailed work. They are approx 4"X2.75". I will be using them for guitar building. Great for rolling fret boards and polishing frets. They are well made and 30 in a box is a great value. I recommend.

Just what you'd expect. This does it's job for 1/2 of what the big name brand charges. The face does seem to last a little less than the fancy stuff but not enough to justify the cost difference at all from what I can tell.I'm happy

Originally got these for a project where I mostly would be using the finer grits. I have an old rusted steel table that needed some attention. After grinding out rust spots these sponges were good for getting into tight spots and I ended up using the coarser grit which held up well. Because sponges are thicker they are less wear and tear on fingers than sandpaper. Sanding the oval shaped legs was a breeze as sponges were flexible enough to conform to the shape of the material. These held up well and seemed to last a long time. It comes with a good assortment of grits.

This set has everything you need for a smooth finish! The range of grits is perfect for everything! The sponges are flexible, durable, and work great for both wet and dry sanding. I love that they come with a brush too!

I ordered this set specifically for my resin coaster project, and it’s been absolutely perfect. The variety of grits included is fantastic—it’s so nice to have everything from 180 to 3000 all in one pack. It made sanding each layer super easy, and having multiple sheets of each grit meant I didn’t have to ration or reuse worn ones.The sponges are high quality, flexible, and easy to use on curved edges and small corners. I also love that they work for both wet and dry sanding—super helpful for resin since wet sanding keeps the dust down and gives a smoother finish.If you’re working with resin or any kind of detailed craft project, this set is such a great value. I’ll definitely be ordering more when I run out!

The only thing that would make these high quality sanding sponges better is if someone did the hard work for me. Sanding wood with sequentially higher grit until the wood looks shiny and is as smooth as glass IS HARD WORK. These sponges made it easier because accessing small nooks and crannies becomes possible and when it gets dirty - they clean up nicely with water and a drop or two of liquid soap.An excellent addition to any handy-person’s tool collection.
