Didn't sit very well in the chassis and the input wouldn't line up evenly with the hole on the side of the laptop, even after screwing it in. It ended up breaking completely after the first use.You can easily find a better power jack here on Amazon for essentially the same price. I was able to fix it by picking out a different one.Look elsewhere for your repair

This was just the part we needed to replace in my daughters laptop. It shipped quickly and was easy to install.

Purchased to replace the original charging port which, while keeping the laptop powered when plugged in, refused to charge the battery. Fifteen minutes later, the laptop is charging for the first time in a month. My only gripe would be that the cord seems to be a bit longer than the OEM, which made routing the cable a bit of a chore, it it seems to be working without an issue.

Updated Review on 6 June 2024:I added 1 star to my original because I've actually had the chance to compare this item to the exact same part number from a different Amazon vendor. This charging port part ISN'T made for the Dell LATITUDE 3510 laptop but should work with the INSPIRON. I originally ordered this part because my laptop was only charging when I jiggled the power supply into a specific position. At the time I requested this part, I also ordered one from a different vendor as a backup which arrived a day later. I figured the cost of both jacks would still be cheaper than taking to a repair shop in the long run. Neither parts arrived with installation instructions, but I found a video online that showed the process.The KBRPARTS charging port actually appears to be better made than the one I ordered from the other Amazon vendor. I recommend inspecting the part you're planning to replace and comparing it to the vendor photos before ordering. I've had pretty good luck with other products from this vendor in the past so I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again. Amazon has a pretty good return policy so you should be good either way.
