When i took out side brackets one of the spring lock popped and won't stay in. And then the other one lost the screw during ride. Had to order w new locks

Part fits well of of them two point docking for my 08. The issue is the latches don’t seem to screw on tight I already lost one. The issue is not the hardware but the mount itself, it has two holes deemed out with splines I have done two trade ones and they both come back the same stripped. I will try to attach photos.
