Despite claiming to be a backlit keyboard under "special feature" near the top of the web page, it is NOT a backlit keyboard. Near the end of the Product Description is states that it is not backlit and that is correct. I usually catch those things, but missed it this time. Rufus implies it is backlit but perhaps there is a reason he is named after George Carlin's character in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. The keyboard and trackpoint work well. There is a bit of springiness to it, which I like and is lacking in many laptop keyboards these days. I don't need the backlight often so I will just be grateful that the keyboard itself has nice action (Ray Charles would approve) and the trackpoint (infinitely superior to touchpads especially for touch typists) works well too. There was a piece of protective tape/film over the wider ribbon cable which was a nice touch. The tiny screws under the trackpoint buttons are really flimsy but hopefully will holdup. The product information under "Special Feature" should be changed to reflect "NOT backlit" to match the "Product Description" and Rufus should be educated to report it is not backlit.
