This is a direct fit aftermarket DC jack. I used it to replace the faulty one in my Inspiron 15-7568 2in1 laptop, and it works perfectly.There was a clear difference from the OEM jack... this replacement is completely closed in. I'll include a Pic of the original, but oem has two tabs on opposing sides that I assume served the purpose of aiding in holding the pin of the charger tightly into the port.I'm unsure if this will matter down the road, time will tell. I'm currently sitting at about 2 weeks since installing the jack.Do it yourself, don't worry about skills needed, just make sure you've got some precision screwdrivers, load up a good YouTube vid of it, and away ya go! It's just removing the bottom cover, undoing the single screw that holds it in place, and replace...It's a good choice for the price!!!

It's a laptop charging port, they are different in each laptop. Some are easier than others.

Functions as a inexpensive replacement power cord for my laptop. I don't like that it is missing a power ndicator light to show the thing is on. I prefer the green light my original cord had.

Would give zero stars if I could. Definitely doesn't fit dell Inspiron 15 7000 despite description. Bait and switch.

This was for my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1. The power jack had gotten to where it shoved the charger plug back out a little and lose connection easily. The cover came off easily with just a few screws to remove. The charger port is removed and replaced with the new one without having to remove any other components. Literally a 10-minute job.
