The bright orange is perfect for being in the woods during hunting season. Also, the lights are handy in the late evenings and frees up our hands to carry other things (besides a flashlight).

It has a Rechargeable battery that only lasts an hour or so. Then it’s lights out. I’ve had several replaceable battery light hats and the light starts dimming long before it goes out entirely. I can carry extra batteries and replace them on the spot and have several hours of light. With this one, unless I carry a charging battery and wait an hour for it to recharge, I am SOL and in the dark. Not good if you’re depending on this light ! And why else would I have this except I want the light . A second replacement light would be helpful but even then it’s only a couple hours of light.I’m returning this product.

Gave these lighted caps to all hunters in our family. All have used them & were impressed. My oldest grandson called it a “game changer” for him. He used to have to use a flashlight in the dark which only left him with one hand to handle things. With this cap his hands were free for whatever.

Beyond the obvious convenience of illuminating a workspace hands-free, I hang my hat on the bedpost at night so I avoid unpleasant toe-stubbings when I get up in the middle of the night. I have sent these to elderly loved ones to help them avoid falls in low light conditions. Another great feature is self-defense—you can temporarily blind a close-contact attacker at night with the brightest setting (the first button press) while also blocking a blow to your head or neck with the outside of your forearm at the same time you reach for the button. Just be careful to use the low setting around friends and family.

As someone who regularly commutes using public transport and my own two feet, this cap is a Necessity. Mind you, I added my university’s Power Cat logo to it. However the degrees of lighting offered, the ability to shade from the sun, see and be seen in the dark, and the flexibility to wrap it around multiple long hair options makes this a winner in my book.

This would be the perfect product if not for the battery life, or lack thereof. The light is extremely bright and focused exactly where I need it. The hat is very high quality and durable. Its extremely easy to use and much more convenient than I expected.I actually returned the first hat because the battery never fully charged after 12 hours and would be dead within 5 minutes of use. The replacement is marginally better, it charges in about 6 hours and lasts about 25 minutes.I'm sure this is more of a quality control issue than a design problem (although the micro usb charge ports do date the battery technology) I have other small led lights that charge faster and last longer so I know its possible.Hopefully an updated version comes out soon, Ill be first in line to get one but fo now this ones a no from me.

It's a very useful cap with chargeable light. I bought it as a gift to my husband. He had been wearing it for a walk, for car maintenance, for yard work, and for other purposes. The light needs to be charged after a couple of hours, but that's not a problem. We usually charge it over night after each wear, so the next time it works. It was one of the most practical inexpensive gifts for my husband.
