I’ve been using one of these for 6 years and wear it quite a bit outdoors here in Alaska. It is bright and fairly weatherproof although the battery compartment is not watertight. However in rain or snow I haven’t had the battery compartment get water in it yet. The one quibble I have is that the plastic cover for the battery compartment is rather flimsy and after 6 years of use the latches on the cover broke off. No worries - I just put rubber bands around the compartment to hold the cover on! And just ordered some more of these headlamps recently as I think they are the best value out there.

This is my second one, since a family member took my first one and won’t give it back. They are great hands free flashlights. I use them for walking dogs when it’s dark and looking for stuff in the dark. Probably should buy another one to keep in the car.

The listing states it can zoom, however the one I received does not, despite looking like the same model shown in the product images.Edit: The focus lens was stuck so bad it unscrewed the light bulb instead of the lens moving. I finally used some pliars to free up the lens and now it will focus. The lens pulls straight out to focus the beam narrow, and goes a pretty good distance like that.

The switch cover came off before I had even managed to turn it on the first time. I found it on the floor and reinstalled.The zoom/focus beam size range is quite narrow, and felt useless at all ranges.I'm just going to return it, there is better out there.Note that I had to repair it before even using it once.
