The best thing about this set is that everything nests together which makes packing it really easy. Pro Tip: PAY ATTENTION to the order when you unpack it, because that is the ONLY way you will get it all back together securely! The included plates/bowls/ are a really nice addition as well. The cups are fine for non-hot drinks, but for coffee or tea or cocoa, they are going to singe your fingers. Would have been nice to have some sort of handle on them for hot drink use. The pots and pans work pretty well. I have not found any obvious hot or cold spots in any of them, although for me the steamer is useless, to be honest. Have to keep it in with the kit though for packing reasons. For size and convenience, this is a very useful bit of kit, but the price tag is pretty high for what you get in my opinion.

This kit includes place setting for 3 or more (depending on how food is served) and also has a steamer basket which may prove additional cooking utility in the field. What I’ve seen in other mess kits that this kit is lacking is eating utensils, such as forks, knives, spoons; and also, cooking utensils such as a spatula. This set is also built to cook for more people than one or two. Although I really like this camping mess kit (outside of the price), I would recommend shopping around prior to purchase - to look for a similar but higher value kit.If over long term use, my feelings change about this product, I will update this review.
