Works as it should on my 05 duramax. Significantly larger fill capacity, mine took 8 quarts. Has o ring style gasket and seals real well. Be sure to remove any old gasket material real well from the mating surface before install. Also lube the o ring gasket for a better seal

I have a stock 2005 5.9 cummins quad cab short wheel base with a stock sized spare tire. There is not enough clearance between the tire and differential for this cover. My old cover had rusted and wanted a not stock cover. I made this cover work by shifting the spare tire to the rear approximately 1.5 inch and secured with a secondary wire going through the tire to the original receiver bracket. The only reason I give this 4 stars is because of the fitment needs mods. I don't think you can beat the quality of this cover. I really like the knurling on the dip sticks that has a high and low mark and super easy to read. I will buy there transmission cover for the 48re and try it next. The rear end held a little over 7 quarts of oil.

Well made product. Quality construction, material, and looks great! Stock cover held 4qts of differential oil and this cover increased the capacity to 9qts on my 2016' RAM 3500HD, 6.4L Hemi, Crew Cab, 3.73 gears, and 6.5' bed. With this better quality metal cover with cooling fins, larger oil capacity, and magnets to keep metal shavings from circulating in the oil, I will feel much better towing my 5'er!

Every easy to install just leave the top bolt in when you take the old one off or you will have a mess. You can go to home depot and get a copper fitting (size reducer) that works great as a funnel as there is not a lot of room to add the gear oil. mine took 8 quarts

This differential cover is very well made and increases the oil capacity by a couple of quarts. Looks nice too, but there is no increase or change in performance. Not certain Iād spend the money again.

Fits perfect, looks great, and adds additional features over OEM. PROS: Looks, Double oil capacity, magnetic dip stick, drain plug, etc. CONS: Twice the cost to fill up with oil.

Fit perfect! Doubled my oil capacity on my 2005 Dodge Ram. I did have to take my 35x12.50x17 spare tire off and put the stock small spare back in for clearance.
