Magpul USGI 223 Ranger Plate Floorplate
The Magpul Ranger Plate is a floorplate replacement for current issue aluminum USGI mags that incorporates an integral loop, floorplate lock, and mag identifier. When installed on the base of a mag, the Ranger Plate provides unsurpassed speed and controllability during high stress, tactical mag changes. Loop is made of pliable Santoprene rubber overmolded onto a stainless steel plate. Patented design based upon the tried-and-true paracord loops and duct-tape tabs currently in use with special units worldwide.

These Ranger Plates are designed for the STANAG/USGI 30rd magazine, but with a little extra work I was able to use them on my 20rd aluminum magazines. Magpul makes a great product here. The rubber/polymer base pad lets you “mag rest” on hard surfaces for stability without worrying about damaging the magazine.

Exactly what I needed to replace the standard baseplate. Easier to grab out of a plate carrier. Padding for hitting the ground during speed reloads.

First off - I've always hated the way these look, but they're fantastic functionally. I don't think they're necessary for larger mags, but they make a world of difference on short 10 rounders. I installed these on some ASC 10 rd stainless magazines and they were quick and easy to put on

So I made a noob mistake when ordering these. see, I was looking for a dust cover for my mag well. Turns out that this replaces the floor plate on the mag. This was in the description and not the vendors fault, all me. Although now the description is more detailed, but I never complained about it so that change was not me! So, I didn't get the dust cover I wanted. But I did get two packs of three pulls for mags. Great! I have the mags to put them on!These slide on a standard metal magazine ONLY, do not try to put on the plastic ones. My 40 round mags wouldn't even stand a chance of taking these, and they are from the same maker. But this is not a negative, just a side note. This slides in easily and seats without much hassle at all. Removing it takes much more effort, but is still insanely simple. It will not just fall off of your mag, but it wont be a permanent addition if you don't want it to be. If your mag has bent metal this may start popping off, so use it only on good condition mags.Now I need to locate the dust cover I was after....

Great product fits and works as described.I installed them on my LAR-15 mags. Does not interfere with mag well area, smooth edges don't catch fabric or gloves. I did have to slightly modify as my mags where 10 rounds and with floor plates installed it was nearly impossible to I steer the 10th round. With a little snip and 2 sec. Extra per mag fits and functions perfectly with all 10 rounds.I will buy these again in a heart beat if/when I get more mags.
