Mail Boss 7121, Black In-Ground Mounting Post, 43 x 4 x 4 inches, for Use with Mailbox
The In Ground Steel Mounting Post by Mail Boss is made of heavy-duty galvanized 10- and 14-gauge galvanized steel with a durable powder-coated finish. Use this 43″ in-ground post to mount any curbside Mail Boss locking mailbox. The In Ground Post should be buried approximately 12″ in ground in order for the incoming mail slot of the Mail Boss mailboxes to be within USPS specifications of 41″-45″ above the road side surface. This post will fit securely over a treated wooden 4″x4″ post for deep installations and reinforcement with rebar stakes.

My old mailbox got hit by a car and totaled. This one is nicer and didn't cost much more than my old one. I couldn't find one like this locally so it's awesome it's on prime, if you subscribe to prime. It fits some packages also, but I like it more because now I don't need to check my mail everyday. Comes with easy to understand instructions and links to videos to watch. Easy to install with basic tools depending on your experience in DIY

High quality, durable and tough! There are reviews of mail post being too short but I had no issues with it as my street curb height is 8” and the overall height for USPS standard counts from the street pavement to the mail insert.. which adds another 7-9”. Overkilled the foundation by adding a 12” wide sonotube @16” deep, crushed rocks, quikrete concrete and 2 pieces of rebar inserted into the base of steel post. Happy with the result and mail man was okay with the setup. Security cam caught my mails being stolen and I am confident this will not happen anymore with this setup!

Always feel secure with a locked mailbox and this one is super heavy duty. We installed a wood 4x4 wood post in cement according to the USPS regulations. After the Quick Crete sat overnight, we slipped the metal sleeve over the wood and the mailbox was very easy to attach. I highly recommend it!
