Easy to install. Back bolts to frame. Front bolts to body bolt which flexes a bit. Would be nice if front mounted to frame. Some threaded holes may need cleaned with tap.

Unfortunately; towards the end, I ran into a tiny problem (literally) which could have been debilitating if I didn’t have the right tools to fix it. When I tried to thread the 10mm x 25mm Hex Bolt into the Rear Frame Bracket, it wasn’t threading in. Upon closer inspection, I noticed what appeared to be some weld spatter inside the bracket. I attempted to knock it off; however, nothing worked. I pulled out my old Craftsman’s tap & die set (10mm 1.50) and went to work. All good after the bolt & bracket were re-threaded.

Great set of Nerf Bars for the Bronco. Installation was fairly simple and all the needed hardware was provided. They can hold a 250lb person just fine. So far they have been on the truck for 6 months and no issues. Hopefully they remain rust free.

I had been looking for a frame-mounted bolt-on nerf bar / step bar for my '84 F-250 and finally settled on these after reviewing the product reviews. The bars are beefy, shipped on time, arrived undamaged and had all the parts included. The instructions are as clear as can be expected and it took me about 2 hours to install them both. The two ends of the bars mount to the frame (one end on front body mount and the rear end on the frame rail). A third anchor point is onto the seat belt bolt that protrudes under the body. I weigh 260 lbs. and the bars don't budge when I stand on them. The finish is excellent and they really did bolt on without any modifications and drilling. Couldn't be happier with them.

Very well made. Tough to install first side, then second side I ignored instructions and did what seemed like a good idea - much quicker and just as good an install. One part to be careful about is the bolt that holds the rear section of tubing that fastens to the sealtbelt bolt. Make sure to install the bolt and bracket onto the bar before attaching it to the seatbelt bolt - my passenger side (which I did first) isn't perfect, but pretty darn good, and has that hole a bit cross-threaded due to doing out of the best order. Just FYI.

First, these are not a premium product. The metal gauge on the bars is much thinner than the 16 year old Westin's I am replacing. These are too thin to act as a nerf bar or even a step for that matter. They also arrived with a scrape on one tube (inside undamaged packing) so I am returning them for refund.
