The CNBQDD Men's Ripstop Tactical Pants are well made for a working guy, home do-it-yourselfer, or a hiker. I got them with hiking in mind, but I also do a lot of house projects, both inside and outside, and I expect these to become my go-to work pants around the house.I haven’t had a lot of luck getting a correct size when ordering clothes over the internet, but with the CNBQDD trousers, I was able to get a pair of pants that precisely fit my narrow waist and slender, but short, legs (32” waist X 30L”). The fit couldn’t be any better. The CNBQDD pants have a total of nine pockets including two flapped back pockets and an unflapped rear pocket that fits a large smartphone. This phone pocket is okay for around the house, but I think for hiking it would have been more conveniently positioned on the outside of the left thigh above the side flapped pocket. Otherwise, the pockets are well positioned. Four (Including the two back pockets and two cargo pockets on the outside of each thigh) have a hook and loop securing flap to guard against items falling out. The slash hand warmer pockets are deep enough to guard against accidental loss of important items. However, the lining of the hand warmer pockets is made of a lacy material that may not withstand heavy use when the wearer is inserting and withdrawing sharp tools or instruments. The medium weight ripstop 65% polyester/35% cotton material, of which these pants are made, seems both durable and tough. AdditionalLy, I ran water from the tap on them for a few seconds and it just beaded up. None soaked in at at all. I really like the elastic waistband. It is comfortable and helps the pants snug the waist without discomfort. The waistband also has generous loops to accommodate a wide belt. The fly is a bit truncated, but is well sewn and has a sturdy metal zipper.I wore these pants for five days and found them every bit as comfortable as the jeans I usually wear. I expect the material will get softer and more conforming as they are laundered and worn over the years. (Note: The care instructions are somewhat restrictive suggesting they should be turned inside out and laundered in cold water and dried on low. That’s not how I do laundry. Instead, I laundered them as I usually do with the rest of my clothes i.e. warm wash/cold rinse and regular dry setting. They did just fine that way. In fact, they dried much faster than a pair of jeans I had in the drier with them and they didn’t shrink. The CNBQDD Men's Ripstop Tactical Pants fit perfectly in accordance with the size I ordered, they are built for lots of tough work, they have lots of well positioned pockets, they shed water, and they are comfortable to wear. The 35% cotton gives them a semi-soft feel and the fit is generous, but not baggy, giving the wearer room to move when out hiking, doing yard work, or building the kids tree house.

Since the elastic in the waistband is not especially taut, you’ll want to order the waist size of these pants one size smaller than you’d normally wear. There is a generous amount of fabric in the seat and thighs, so the pants will fit just fine even with a smaller waist. The ripstop fabric is lighter/summer-weight and very comfortable to wear. Oddly, all of the front pockets are shallow and lined with/made out of a netting (much like the liner in some swim trunks). However, all of the side and back pockets are big and tough. There’s a handy cell phone pocket located just above the right rear pocket. These are nice, durable pants as long as you order the right size waist.

I got these pants more for camping than a work pant, but they can easily be both.Pros:- The material is built to take a little of a beating yet remain comfortable. That is one of the biggest things I like about the pants.- There is plenty of storage and pockets on these pants.- The button closure on the pants is tight...could be a con, but they are secure- Material starts to soften after a couple washes, but still remains strong.Cons:- The pants are pretty true to size but a little on the small side. The ripstop material that is used allows for very minimal stretching, so make sure you order the right size. If I had to reorder, I would probably go one size larger than normal.- Ripstop doesn't breathe great, but that's a tradeoff for the durability
