It works; despite confusing description this ring converts a male M42 (which means a 42mm diameter 1.00mm pitch) to a female T/T2 which a 42mm x 0.7mm. The only complaint I have is that it is too short.

Years ago some folks made some Telescope accessories. Their factory was setup for turning out instruments made with 0.75mm pitch threads. So rather than retooling to the standard 42mmx1.0mm threads used for cameras they made them with the oddball 0.75mm pitch. Thus nearly 100 years later we are plagued by having two incompatible M42 threads ... one used primary on telescopes (42mm x 0.75mm) and another used on cameras (42mmx 1.0mm).When a piece of camera equipment needs to be connected to a piece of telescope equipment a adapter ring is required ... these tend to be hard to come by in the Male vs Female configuration need at the time. I use this one so that I can mount a T2 eyepiece holder on the back of a Novoflex bellows with a male Pentax M42 screw mount. Usually I have to order them from China or the UK or Russia and then wait a month for delivery ... also have to pay twice as much. At this price I will get a couple of more so that I have them on hand. I never know when I will want to try some weird combination of equipment.Note: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F868KSN is the opposite adapter ring.A matched pair is required to convert a T2 device to Normal M42 threads.Warning:Once one of these rings has been screwed in place it is likely that the ONLY way to remove it is "destructively".(see picture)
