Your cart is empty.MFJ-281 ClearTone speakers are designed to restore the smooth sound of sine waves that CW naturally generates and makes it easy to copy and bring out communication speech fidelity that you never knew existed. They were carefully designed to improve the intelligibility of speech in the frequency range of 600 to 4,000 Hz, while reducing undesirable noise, static, and hum. The MFJ 281 ClearTone speakers feature a top-grade 3 in. Mylar cone mounted in a well-designed speaker baffle. They are covered with a fine mesh metal grille that allows sound to radiate without being muffled. The included versatile swivel mounting brackets let you direct sound where you want it.

There is a lot of hype around this speaker, so I thought I would give it a try. It is a lot smaller than I was expecting. I use it with my Yaesu FT-891 and to me it sounds way better than the built in speaker.

This is a small form factor speaker, but with great audio. It is light weight and mounts almost anywhere. It provides clear crisp voice audio with enough volume to be heard over road noise.

The SDS100 scanner makes a harsh noise when there’s a little static. This speaker lowed the tone of the static and made listening much better. A slightly clearer sound than the scanner has. And it plugs into the headphone jack without knocking the scanner over. Just what I was looking for.

Like the title says. I installed this INSIDE of a field bag using a Yaesu FT8900R. The original plan was to take it out during use but it's so loud and clear you don't even need to take it out of the bag to hear it clearly. What I originally bought it for is it is a full inch thinner than my previous speaker that didn't fit in my kit very well, but this does much better than I expected. Very much recommend.

Got this for a mobile setup, where I actually have the speaker tucked away inside my glove box. Works perfectly, and if I open the glove box up, I have to turn the radio down quite a bit. Great quality, solid sound.

the speaker was for a police scanner it was way to small junk got me once but not twice
