I would have given this a zero star rating cause you can’t use these they’re useless. They are made in china BTW. Not value for you money the quality is so sturdy that you can use them. I’m sorry but if you’re going to sell violin bow parts make sure that they are from Germany cause the best quality you can get for your money.

I have a carbon fiber bow I stopped using after the eyelet the frog screw threads into stripped and there was no longer any way to tighten the hairs.Apparently it’s a common failure caused by misalignment of the frog screw with the eyelet that, under tension, gradually strips the eyelet threads.I have other bows and wasn’t knowledgeable about the scope of the repair. I also assumed the expense wouldn’t be justified for an inexpensive bow so I put it aside until the opportunity to try out this replacement came along.The body of the frog appeared to be a perfect match for the original and research convinced me I could leave the hair attached and just replace the eyelet and frog screw.The front end of the frog screw has no threads and serves nicely as a wrench to unscrew the stripped eyelet from the frog body. The replacement eyelet fit snugly in the same hole. The only challenge is to screw the new eyelet down just enough for it to align properly with the frog screw when inserted. It took a light touch and several half turn adjustments to sense when the screw would thread cleanly. I ran the screw threads over a chunk of candle wax I keep as a ‘dry lubricant’. It made the turning action really smooth.Bottom Line: The whole job to replace the eyelet was done in minutes, and that bow is back in service.

The slide plate has a nice tight fit. the connector for the screw will need to be tapped so that it screws into place properly. Overall, it's far from a high-end replacement, but adequate for my needs.

When this item arrived it was damaged and breaking apart. The quality is very poor. I do not recommend it. If I could give it zero stars I would.
