Your cart is empty.Minerals are vital for the inverts in our aquaria. They cannot be produced by the organism itself but need to be taken in with the food. You can provide your aquarium inverts with all the minerals they need with the Mineral Junkie Pearls. These pearls contain inorganic minerals as well as minerals that are organically bound and prevent mineral deficiencies, which, in shrimp and other crustaceans, often cause molting problems, slow growth and a high mortality rate especially among the juveniles. Snails can be given the Mineral Junkie Pearls to prevent holes from forming in their shells. Snails also grow better when they are supplied with an ample amount of minerals, and their shells tend to be smoother and stronger. An ample mineral supply is a crucial factor in breeding and keeping shrimp, crayfish, crabs and snails, they are addicted (in a figurative sense) to these substances. All inverts possess a so-called exoskeleton, an important part of which they build from minerals. Wouldn’t open…genuinely like the lock was pushed down or something & I had to get my partner to pry the plastic open so I could access the food…kinda ridiculous if you ask me. Would buy again but I doubt they’ll fix the lid make & I found another product my snails like that has more product for about the same price or less.

My shrimp went to it right away. I like that it didn't turn to mush. Good ingredients. Will buy again. But it does seem like this will last a long time. I put just one in at a time. I use a little dish to put it on so it doesn't get lost in the rocks. I use a straw to direct it to the dish and a turkey baster to suck up anything left over by the end of the day.

I use half of one pellet every day or so for my dozen shrimp and the many shrimplets. They love these and I haven't had a bad molt since I've started using them. Highly recommend.

I have a 5-gal planted tank with cherry shrimp, ramshorn snails, and two pygmy cories. I was having problems with shrimp survival. I was feeding them sinking pellets, and even though they ate well, something was wrong. Adults would slowly die off. A few would have babies successfully, then die. The babies would grow, then start to die off. My colony wasn't thriving. All the water parameters were great, I had a consistent weekly cleaning and water change routine, and the aquarium had been established for over six months. I'm experienced in the hobby, so I wasn't killing the shrimp in any of the standard novice ways.I started using GlasGarten Bacter AE, Shrimp Fit, Mineral Junkie Pearls, and Shrimp Baby about a year ago, and now I have a thriving colony that's always reproducing, growing, and surviving. It went from 15 adults to 70+ cherries of varying ages in that time. Here's my feeding regimen:Days 1 & 4: Bacter AE, Hikari Shrimp Cuisine pelletsDays 2 & 5: Shrimp Fit, Mineral Junkie PearlsDays 3 & 6: Shrimp Baby, NLS AlgaeMax pelletsDay 7: water change, no foodA little goes a long way with the powder foods. I dose 1/64 tsp, which is way less than the scoop that comes with the foods. I always have berried females and thriving shrimplets. Now I have so many shrimp that I moved some into my 55-gal aquarium. The four GlasGarten products I use work well together, and I highly recommend them.

My shrimp and snails love this stuff! I highly recommend it if you need to boost calcium and magnesium in their diet in addition to the minerals in the water as I have had to.

So, when you want to graduate from pellets bought at pet stores, head to GlasGarten.This particular product, Mineral Junkie Pearls, is the bomb. Makes you snails shells stronger. Turns white immediately as it hits the water, so it is easy for shrimp to find. Adult shrimp especially will GORGE on these, thus spreading flakes around for smaller shrimp to enjoy.
