In several other variations I've seen out there, you needed to swap out the disks/blades for the various types of materials you're using. The blade in question for this was rated to support non-ferrous metal (soft brass which was my intent) and it did the job. It's not some full-sized high-powered, high torque type of device, so you do need to pay attention to how fast you chop, it's better patience to go slower to have a filing/sanding free-chop. I'm quite amused by the size, especially since I have a full-sized chop saw. It's easy to use, but I would have liked it if the saw would lock in the closed position vs. locked in the can't go down/chop position for storage, eiteher way, no other flaws that I can see at this time..

A great machine to start off with. It would be awesome if the saw has cover on it because it’s really sharp, but after all it is an amazing tool.

I bought this saw for crafting with wood pieces like popsicle sticks and some trim pieces to make wood frames. I read the description and purchased because they claim that the saw cuts 2” which would be perfect for my application.However, this does not cut 2” it barely got through one and a quarter. And, I had to flip the wood over to get a mitered edge. I also had to keep tightening it with the provided Allen wrench or it would QUIT working.I tried to RETURN, but I have to pay to ship it back and get reimbursed the fees. Which is a HUGE hassle.
