The Moen 601 is the exact factory replacement part. It does its job well and actually lasts longer for me than it is rated for. The filter removes any particles from my water and even some tastes and smells. I will continue to purchase this exact replacement rather than look for some cheaper and likely not as good off brand replacement.

The filter works fine for us, 'zon's price is very good.I am basically writing this so all of us senior moment folks can Quickly find the magic formula to get the blinking orange/red 'change me' light to switch to the quick green flashes in the instructions (c'mon Moen, No One has been able to understand your pictograph for years now.. at ~$20 a pop, you can't add the Words, press three times rapidly?)Instructions cost 'em a star (I consider it part of the product, but Know some person will have a problem with me downgrading the item for poor instructions).Please press 'helpful' if you came here and read the reviews in order to find this info, the headline will be a quick help for others, Thanks! and if you have found something in the previous paragraph UNhelpful, thanks for saying so in a comment.. can't win, I swear.

The filter is easy to install and reset. I know Moen has a reputation for quality, and the water tastes better. We use the filter in our RV, and it gives us assurance that the filtered water is safer to drink than some campground water may be. Amazon's price is very reasonable, considering the price I have paid in the past.

This is an excellent product, though pricey. Because the filter needs to be changed once every two or three months, I often forget how to reset the faucet when installing the new filter. The included instructions are ok, but if there are problems with the reset, you have to call tech support. I now have learned to write down the reset sequence for the next time in case the directions in the instructions don't work.

As far as I can tell, this is a good filtration device in the faucet. Moen discontinued the model, do not know why. Perhaps the electronics were not so good. However, Moen is an excellent company to do business with, they back their products. I would have to have my water tested to determine the effectiveness of the filter, water tastes good and I change the filter often.

Product received timely. Filter is as advertised and fits into existing Moen faucet. Indicator on faucet is supposed to turn green after five minutes. After a month we are still waiting for light to turn green but water tastes fine.
