I purchased these when I was a newbie to the gun club.I learned that it is far less expensive to make your own chamber flags.Fold a 3" length of colored duct tape or painter's tape over the blunt end of a zip tie - Bingo!

In many situations these are mandatory, but in all situations on the range they're useful even if not required. Let the RSO and your fellow shooters know that your firearm has an empty chamber for downrange time. I wish, however, that MTM had a package of SEPARATE sizes (e.g. just the small, or just the large, not this combo). For pistols and .223/5.56 the large ones won't work, so you're really only getting four for "daily" use if those are your main shooters. Just be aware of that. Generally though the four smalls are more than enough, just wish I didn't have to pay for the ones I very rarely use (ammo's too expensive for the big bores!). Glad I got them. Plastic is soft and flexible, it isn't going to mar your gun's finish or cause any problem in the chamber/bore. MTM makes great stuff (have a number of their ammo boxes) AND here in the USA. Bright yellow stands out even in the shadows. For even more visibility, I bought some blaze orange "Remove Before Firing" flags (elsewhere on Amazon), drilled a hole in the plastic flag and attached the cloth flag with its split ring through the hole in the plastic.

Cheap, safe, and you can trim down for 556. Even though it won't fit in barrel, you can trim down for chamber

I just needed some pistol flags for the range and these seemed decently reviewed. I haven't used the rifle flags so can't comment on them much, but they are beefy for sure. The pistol flags work perfectly for any of my 9mm pistols--they might be a tad large for a .22 chamber though. Bright yellow, easily visible--should last a long time.

As advertised. 4 pistil sized flags. 4 rifle flags. the rifle flags do not fit small bore Ie .22 or .223. they work fine in .308
