Got the mug earlier today before work. when i got home i ran the standard test, pour some hot (just under boiling) water in, and see if the outside warms up. Less then 5 minutes the outside was as hot as the inside. So the "double wall" is punctured letting air into the gap so there is no vacuum to insulate it. if they say "its just double walled, not vacuum insulated" ... Why? Might as well just have a single wall and save on materials.also, 20oz my ass. the mug barely fit 16 oz which was poured all the way to the top.Looks nice until you actually look close, handles are held on with cheap bolts that wiggle about, and just cheap construction. total failure of a product.

I ordered this last year and used it for one season of the Maryland Renaissance Festival. I am a full time craftsman at Renfests and our mugs get a lot of use. I loved it. One of the best mugs I've ever owned in 40 years of working fairs. Stainless, so not funny tasting pewter. Double walled and kept things cool in hot late summer/early Autumn. Tough and well made. Rennie endorsed.

I bought this Stein to replace my steins that did not match my dinnerware. I love the way it looks!Although it was twice the cost of my big box steins that had handles welded into the stein, this Stein appears to have a handle that is merely glued on. As another reviewer suggested, I ordered JB weld (I bought high temp) in preparation for repair. I plan to put my hot chocolate in this and then when the glue fails, I'll reattach it.I find it comfortable to drink from, it may be double wall but it's a very narrow space if it is. I find no foul taste.Just like the picture, despite being double wall, the mug does condensate/get cold on the outside.5 stars for pretty3 stars for workmanship4 star average

First I love the way this looks. It really stands out and it has that hint of medieval look that I really wanted. Second It's made of stainless steel so it's really strong and well made. Holds a bottle of beer without problem. And it's double wall so it provides fair heat/ cold retention. The handle is nice but depending on how you hold it can be uncomfortable sometimes.Overall I'm pleased and I would recommend it

They had a nice look and feel to them and were a quick ship. I purchased them to be engraved and give as a gift and I would do so again. Unfortunately, since they weren’t in my possession long, I can’t speak to the durability or use over time.
