Works perfectly. But, I prefer the OEM feel. Still, recommended if you have defunct keys like I did.

Best keyboard I’ve had. Holds a charge for the LONGEST. Definitely worth every penny. Super sleek & durable.

Wow for the price I didnt expect this to work at all, but it works great. It was only like twelve bucks. It was super easy to install and exactly like my old Dell Inspiron N5110 keyboad. Its actually a better touch to type cause its new compared to my old crappy clogged up one.Notes: Review online Youtube instructions on how to replace a dell inspirton laptop keyboard first.remove the battery! You dont need any special tool like they say online, just a small screwdriver. Also, the ribbon does not have the THIS SIDE UP on it like my old one. So you could easily reverse it by mistake. The shiney side goes up.Also look online how to push the keyboard ribbon connector to the side or you might damage the wire connector. It was kind of tricky to slide the new ribbon into the connector. Practice with the old ribbon so you dont wreck the new one trying to figure it out. Note the two bumps on each side of the laptop connector.

Functional, but doesn’t quite have the same “touch” as the original

The keyboard on my 7 year old Dell was worn to the point it was almost impossible to type anything. I was constantly having to back up and add missing letters where I hadn't pressed slow and hard the first time. I was to the point of wanting a new laptop. Unfortunately, I didn't want to spend the money on a new laptop. I began to look on YouTube to see how hard it was to replace the keyboard. I quickly learned how simple it was. I then searched Amazon for one compatible with my laptop. I was even more excited to find out how inexpensive it would be. I ordered this keyboard, received it the next day and had it replaced in literally minutes with no tools required. My laptop now works as good as new and for roughly 1% of the cost of a new laptop. I'm very pleased with the outcome.

After I spilled water on my OEM keyboard, the keyboard behaved erratically. Then the laptop wouldn't start. After troubleshooting, I realized it was just the keyboard, so I ordered a replacement. (Sad for all the laptops that were discarded for this reason!)The photo compares the 5-year-old Dell OEM to Sunmall keyboard, and they look almost identical down to the way PrntScr is spelled. It was an easy installation. It's a bit louder and requires a bit more force, but maybe that's just because I broke in the old one.The only thing I would prefer is that the ribbon cable were labeled like the original. Remember the black side goes down, and the side with the lines goes up.

I was using my Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop at a school when water dripped from the ceiling and fell directly on the keyboard. The computer shut off quite quickly, and I pulled the battery to try to avoid further damage. That evening I disassembled it and checked for problems, and realized that the only issue was some kind of short in the keyboard. The short persisted, so I ordered this replacement keyboard. It fits perfectly, and definitely solved the problem with my laptop, which now runs smoothly. The price was also quite reasonable for a very specific replacement part. My only complaint is that the keys don't seem nearly as responsive as the original keyboard, or other keyboards that I tested when diagnosing the issue. This replacement keyboard seems to be freshly manufactured, and the keys require more pressure to press than is usually the case. They seem 'clackety' in some sense. I'm hoping that it will improve as it sees some use, but I'm broadly happy with things even if they stay as they are.
