Just make sure they are in a stud and they will hold a lot of weight. My dryer went out and I was able to hang a lot of clothes on hangers to finish drying using my shower rod. Very easy to install due to the one open end.

Reordered this to match a previous purchase. It's clearly black even though the package said bronze. Material is thinner and screw holes aren't beveled. Photo shows original purchase on the right and second purchase on the left.

This product fits with the black, polished, metal pole that you should see with the "buy together" listing. They fit together perfectly. I really like these because they came with drywall anchors. My bar is full of 14" hanging planters, probably 150 lbs total--without a creak--and my walls are flimsy.

The hardware is metal and heavy/durable. The end that provides for sliding pole into slot is somewhat small than the other end. I was using a curtain rod as a pole and we just needed to remove the rubber end so it would fit. Just to note that the one part does not take the same pole diameter. Looks nice and feels sturdy.

These are rock solid - you will not have any problem with pole slippage in these bad boys. They are a little darker than what some would consider bronze but from what I've seen available out there no one offers poles in the sometimes preferred lighter, orangeish hue, which makes the point moot frankly. These go great with the widely available John Sterling steel closet rods. One minor gripe is that many closets are made with 3/4" plywood / MDF / melamine stock and the screws that are provided are 1" - too long to be used in most closets - and also I think #6, which is a little thin. I used 3/4" #10 wood screws. They fit perfectly and I painted them after everything was installed. A bit of a needless pain.

First of all, oil rubbed bronze or not, it's actual color is flat black. I have seen other oil rubbed bronze which actually had some bronze color to it. This isn't that. The finish and workmanship is very good. It looks like an actual chemical finish and not like paint at all. It is stamped Stanley on the back. If black is what you want then this is what you should get.

I replaced the standard tract home mounts that are nailed in to the wall, after overloading my rack only to have the nails pull out of the wall and the entire mess collaspe. These are extremely heavy duty, and have holes for several screws each (3?). These bad boys are pretty heavy duty. I don't think these would ever fail, unless the center of your rack/rod was not supported. Mine is 8 feet long, with a support in the center (which I beefed up when I replaced the mounts). For the price, these are are a great deal. If you're having to replace yours, this will likely be the last time you'll ever have to mess with it...

I got these because they match the shelf/hang rod bracket. They arrived quickly and seem well made. I wouldn't call the color oil rubbed bronze, they are powder coated black. They are sturdy and work well in our closet.
