This is not what I expected it would be. I expected it to be one of those closed wires that you push through the eye of a needle, then push the thread through and pull it back through the eye. This is more of a tiny crochet hook. The idea is the same. You push the tiny crochet hook through the eye of the needle, then use the hooked end to grab the thread to pull it through. It works, but it doesn't work as well as the other kind. I had the thread slip off the hook a few times. It's also not as easy to see the tiny hook as it is with the other kind. I'm not sure there is a time when this would be better than the other kind -- maybe if the eye of your needle is especially small. There are plenty of hooks included in this set, and it's pretty inexpensive, so it's a good value. I just prefer the other kind.

If you've ever picked up any kind of sewing kit, you've run into the lil' wire loop needle threaders before- and probably broken one! Maybe you don't like them but still need a threader- what to do? You get these!I've tried a couple of these thin metal hook style threaders before (the flat ones & the hummingbird), but found the size of the hook to be fiddly. Why get a threader that's hard to put through the needle in the first place? These don't have that problem- the tiny metal bit means they easily pass into the smallest eye needles (still too big for a beading needle though!). Just catch the thread on the notch & pull through! The listing isn't very clear on exactly what you're getting, so to clarify- I got 12 threaders in a small plastic storage box. Assorted colors, NOT evenly split- mine were half pink, with only one green. I suspect each order will give random colors, so if you want specific ones this isn't for you. The threaders themselves are slightly glittery, & the yellow is more of a gold than a proper yellow. The metal bits do bend with enough force, but hold up under standard use. Barring any extreme circumstances, they should last you quite awhile!

These are as pictured. If you look carefully these have a hook, not a loop. They are sturdier than the thin wire loops, but a little bit harder to use in some respects. You have to be able to make sure the thread, or floss, stays on the hook while pulling through. They work okay for several numbers of floss, but pulling a full six thread floss is difficult

These are essentially very small hooks on the end of flat finger-holds that can be used to pull thread through the eye of a needle. They're easy to use, a lot of them come in a single order, and they're bright and colorful, which is nice. I'm not sure how useful they will be for threading cross-stitch embroidery floss given the size of the hooks, but sewing thread is the perfect size.

Generic brand Needle Threaders, Needle Threader Tool, Needle Threaders sold by Pmds.I received 12 in random colors. They work for threading a needle, a nice big grip area and enough so you can keep them where you need them so you don't have to go looking. The price point was good for what you got.
