Installed the jack in laptop. Do to a loose connection this port took a second to recognize that power cord was plugged in. Later that day stopped recognizing the power cord at all. Took a multimeter across the cable to find a major current drop and little to no countanuaty across the positive side

This part was a very easy fix and fit perfect for my HP 799735-T51 Laptop, the cost was nothing compared to purchasing a new laptop or paying someone else to do it. Computers are made cheap but can be easy to fix with everything on Youtube. Find someone who will walk you through a repair from beginning to end. Be sure to pay attention to where all of the screws are located before removing the cover to replace parts, some are under the plastic strips.

Charging jack was for an HP Pavilion x360. Everything went perfectly until I tried to plug the 8 pin plug into the motherboard. Everything matched up perfectly except for a tiny nub on the male head.The ORIGINAL plug had this nub on only one side. The replacement had nubs on both sides making the opening too small. Took a nail file and filed the nub off of one side. This slight mod took10 seconds and plug now fits perfectly.
