Set aside some space and time for this project, because you’ll need to take apart the entire laptop from the bottom and go through several layers of components to reach the keyboard. You’ll also need a precision screwdriver with a torx head bit.There are some good YouTube videos on this replacement, I used SureCanDo Computer Service’s video for most of it- up until the part where you have to remove a couple dozen plastic retaining “dots.” I just gently cut them with my precision flat-blade screwdriver instead of using the soldering iron. If you don’t bend the metal cage around the old keyboard as you remove it, your new keyboard will still sit flat.Take your time and be gentle with the ribbon cables and the monitor hinges. Be extra careful with the video cables tucked alongside the cpu fan. Keep the tiny screws paired with the individual components they belong to.My new keyboard is working 100% 👌

Fairly easy to install. You might need to buy an inexpensive set of torx drivers depending on the screws used on your laptop, but we'll worth the extra $10. A thick guitar pick is helpful in splitting the case joints without damage (screwdriver tears things up). No need to pay for a repair shop to do it. Remember to disconnect the battery first and take pictures as you go so you can remember the order to put things back and where to route the tiny wires. Don't forget the battery before you snap things back together. You can do it!
