I bought a used Thinkpad T480 and it didn't come with any caddies, and this worked perfectly out of the box without any tweaking. There's nothing more to say, it had no issues at all and worked beautifully. Make sure you install it the right way, you need to have the part that has the cable seating exposed to not be facing you.

it fots perfect, but you have to add some doble tape at the bottom so it can stay on place, but works to add a second 2.5" drive
