Get this if you must. Honestly, when you think about rigging your camera, this might be the last type of battery plate you want to get. I found it to get in the way more than help. Mounting to the handle or side of the camera either eliminates space for great/comfortable handling in the hands or makes your rig side heavy and awkwardly shaped. I can appreciate the attempt to solve issues that filmmakers have with rigging, especially the locating pins to prevent spinning, but this is something that will get in the way more than it will help in my honest opinion.

I like the design and the creativity in alternative mounting for V mount batteries. However, I have some problems with mine:- The clamp to secure the hinges is hard to use. It will feel as if you've really cranked down on it, and it's still somewhat loose. Crank down even more, and the hinge closest to the Arri mount is very secure, but the hinge nearest the battery still drifts under pressure. This could lead to drifting during use.- Mine did not arrive with a 15mm rail clamp.- I tried this on 6 or 7 different V mount batteries with limited success. Even the ones that went on the best were at best begrudgingly going on. One went on so tight I had to smack the battery with the heel of my hand while holding the release button, sending it flying. A couple would not go on at all - would not "catch". I know you don't want these on there rattling around, but I think either the tolerance is too tight for two hard surfaces or it needs a wider tolerance with some rubber or something to keep them from rattling and make different batteries behave.Not typical of Niceyrig from the other stuff I've reviewed.
