The steel sprinkler valve key is engineered for turning on and off or adjusting the flow of manual or automatic sprinkler valves which have a flow control mechanism. The prongs of the sprinkler valve key are spaced so that they fit over the handle of the valve and allow you to rotate it clockwise to reduce flow and counterclockwise to increase flow. The handle is both ergonomic and creates a way to hang the key for storage. Plated steel ensures the long life of the key in a variety of weather conditions. The sprinkler key is available in 30-inch and 54-inch lengths to handle a variety of valve box depths. For outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.

I got this to use on an outside faucet that's hard to reach (not it's intended use). Had to bend the ends to fit the faucet handle, but works fine.

I had a valve I needed to open and close regularly so I cut a hole in the valve box so the tool would fit right into the top of the valve. Super easy works good.

I purchased this after I realized that my previous sprinkler control valve key went missing from alongside my house. This is well well made and easy to use. It's a perfect replacement!

I gave this item three stars because you can't lead the stars blank. I bought this to use on my water main valve. This was not the right tool for me. This tool seemed okay. The metal seemed a little thin but you may not need a heavy duty tool for your sprinkler like you do for the water main.
