When something goes wrong with your snow thrower, don't worry (or go to the nearest fix-it shop). Fix the snow machine yourself. Just order parts from Willard's Small Engine Repair, and they'll be in your mailbox in a couple of days. Willard is really fast and the cost won't hurt, either. My parts -- a pair of friction disks, one for now and one for down the road or driveway or paths -- arrive and went into the machine quickly. Got everything back in snow removal operation in just a couple of hours (I'm sorta slow.)Thanks, Willard, for getting me up an running quickly and at a fair cost.

The Oregon 76-067-0 Drive Disc was the perfect replacement part for my Ariens 1027LE snowblower. The drive disc is a wear item and needs to be replaced when the rubber around the outer edge wears down significantly or starts to break apart. The symptom I experienced that let me know that it was time for a replacement was that the snowblower drive wheels stopped engaging with enough power to actually propel the snowblower (but would spin if the wheels were lifted off the ground and they had no friction to overcome). There are plenty of great YouTube videos showing the steps necessary to replace the drive disc with this Oregon replacement part - it is reasonably easy to do by someone with some basic DIY skills and a lot less expensive than having it professionally serviced.

Good thing they come in a two-pack, you'll definitely need the spare next winter or sooner. Meticulously installed December 2022, as of end January 2024 it's a pile of rubber dust in the bottom of the pan. I was some surprised, to say the least. Probably got a dozen uses out of it on a 60 ft paved driveway that takes 40 minutes to clear. If you got it for an Ariens, maybe go for the OEM instead due to the relative difficulty of installation.

I bought a 2 pack 76-067-0 Oregon friction disc because they were recommended by a small engine mechanic from Canada that produces a lot of you tube videos. I’am very dissatisfied with these disc only lasted only 3 months and probably was used about 4 times.Installed on a Ariens Deluxe 27,all adjustments were in spec’s by the Ariens manual adjustments. There were no markings or numbers on the disc indicating it was a Oregon part, probably was some foreign product that had a very soft rubber compound.

Perfect fit and quality looks great. I have used it twice and it has been working good. It is nice to have a spare also in case it is ever needed without waiting during a snow storm.

Direct replacement on a Ariens Deluxe 30..- Edit Jan 2022. After about 1 month of snow... time to replace it! Kind of a disappointment, got a little over 4 years from the original Ariens.- 2nd edit. March 2022. The 2nd disk didn't last much longer. 6 weeks and it was also worn out.I would not recommend this, to use in a Arien Deluxe 30... maybe they work OK (better) on some other/smaller snow-blower.
