Installation Guide:

Bonjour,Je l’ai installé dans un xserve 3,1 !Prévoir quelques modifs en récupérant les petites équerres qui sontsur le DVD, 3 micros vis, avec un petit couq de lime ronde pour l’adapter15 mn de boulot. Et il faut couper le devant avec une pince électroniquepour que puisse bien venir vers l’avant du Xserve.

Yes, still using my Late-2012 MBP 15 A1286 in 2025. DVD drive is just not useful any more. Dropped a 1TB SSD into this adapter and into my MBP in less than 10 min. Copied my user folder over to the new SSD and a quick update my user account in Advanced settings and am in business with 2TB of total storage. Inserting the SSD did seem a little snug as it went in, but works great. If you're still using an older MBP then this is well worth the investment.
