What I needed to replace my well used one. It felt comfortable in my hand right away and is what a standard bow should be. Nothing special, but useful.

I bought this bow for my daughter and she was very satisfied with it. She looked at the wood quality and she said it was perfect, the sound was great and she overall absolutely loves it. It was a perfect find for the price.

It’s an ok bow. Doesn’t seem to be much hair at all though... seems like it will be very short-lived and the hair will come off quickly. Someone else commented that the hair is a bit slack, and that’s true. When tightened fully it is way too stiff. When tightened midway, the stick will hit the hair and strings. I had bought it as an alternative to getting my bows rehaired. It does the job; but like other commenters have said, it needs lots of rosin. Took me over a week to sound good.

Decent for the price. I purchased it for an old practice violin for my daughter in High School orchestra, so she could leave her concert voilin at school. She is a 6th year student. It works fine for her, and although it doesn't have the tone and balance of her $100ish quality bow, it is adequate. It lost about 4 hairs between taking it out of the way oversized, un-padded and unsecured tube to about the first 10 minutes of play.It did fine for her first 45 minute practice. It was in a plastic sleeve/wrapper. I was sure the tip would have been broken as I first opened it, but no shipping damage. It is not a refined piece. The black grip is cheap, but looks like it will last. The wire wrap could have a little better finish at the end. The plastic base on the underside of the tip is very rough like it was sanded with 80 grit or dragged across concrete, but the wood has a decent finish. The frog is ok. It is tight, no slop. so far only cosmetic issues that don't affect play-ability.So, it worked without breaking in the first session, on a few advanced songs, and kept almost all of the hair. Not disappointed. I took the star off for packing method, tip finish, and more than one lost hair.

I'm a professional violist and violinist in the Los Angeles area and I bought this bow for my teaching set because my student accidently broke my bow. That's why I have a teaching set of instruments. There's nothing wrong with the bow and I actually like it very much. It's pretty light and i get a good sound from it. To everyone that's complaining about the bow not working .... you need to put lots of rosin on it.

This is WAY better than the stock bows that came with the ADM violin we bought. A huge difference when trying to get my kid interested in learning the violin. He is making nice sounds now! This bow didn't take too long to Rosin either.

This bow is pretty well made. They do require a bit of a "work in" but they pretty much all do. The frog has a fair feel to it. But what surprised me was the draw. For the price you can't beat it.Sure I've used better bows but I've used much worse that cost much more.
