I only wanted to write a review after owning it for a little bit as fans I've bought in the past normally only last like 5-8 months then SOMETHING breaks on it, but not this this one. I can't sleep at night without some kind of breeze and this fan is really silent, and for how small it is really puts a good amount of breeze. My only complaint is the feet are plastic and rarely when I pick it up the legs fall out of their snapped in location, but its easy to snap them back in and they never fall out or tip over when its firm on the ground. Also extremely light easy to clean. If I need another fan for a different room I'm definitely re-ordering!

Great fan overall. Only con is since I opened and assembled, I can't adjust the height. The knob turns but won't loosen.

I'm very pleased with this fan. With choice of oscillating or straight air stream, adjustable height and remote control. So far the motor has been quiet and efficient. I tried a black model this time after years of having to look at how quickly the white models get dirty. I'm very pleased with this fan and how it looks in my home.

After using the fan I've got some concerns. 1) It's definitely not as tall as the last Pelonis fan I had, harder to shoot over desks, etc. 2) It is more powerful but too powerful. Just got off the treadmill. At the lowest setting, it's blows too much air...gets you actually cold. Even when you move it back. Then you turn it off but immediately you get too hot because you're walking the treadmill. Off...on...off, not fun. The higher settings are crazy. My last fan's lowest setting was just right 3) This fan head won't tip as far back (upward) as my prior Pelonis fan. I need that angle up because I'm higher on a treadmill, but this fan doesn't have the tipping range that the last fan had so the air is hitting your body but not fully up to your head. All in all, it's probably fine for most people but at this point I wouldn't have bought it if I had known what I know now, but you don't learn these things until after you have gotten the fan.I had another Pelonis pedestal remote control oscillating fan for 5 years. I noticed it starting to lean, then yesterday the pedestal broke off the base. Basically, the weld broke off. Nothing could be done. I went to buy a new fan like the one I had but Pelonis had discontinued the model. I bought this fan. It's much heavier than the old fan so I would assume it's more sturdy. Also, the base seems to be a different design and it's not connected by a weld so it shouldn't break off. It doesn't seem as tall as my old fan but maybe that's my imagination. Once I got it together it worked great. Has remote control as my other one did. I use the fan all the time since it's in my office, gym. Been happy with Pelonis. I expect to get another 5 years of more out of this fan.I will say the "installation instructions" were horrible. The first page was a picture with the name of the components. You turn to the second page at the top they tell you how to connect the front and rear fan guards, which I did. Then I realized the fan blade has to go in-between the two guards so I had to take the two fan guards apart. The base installation was clear but you don't realize the "right angle bolt", which looks like a little wrench which you would think you would remove, stays with the fan unit base, hidden under the base. There is a diagram of putting the blade/grills together but at this point I found it easier to just figure it out myself by looking at the parts. Who writes these instructions?

I bought this fan 1 year ago, it still works perfectly. It's easy to take apart to clean the blades and the cage. I paid $68.01 and now see it's double the price, although I would still buy it again. The wind it creates is SO powerful, I often think it's on the highest setting, and go to turn it down only to find out that it was on the lowest setting. I have 3 portable ACs because I live in a very large apartment so I have one AC unit in each bedroom and fans in kitchen and hallway to circulate the cool air. This particular fan is in the open concluding/dining room and works so well. The other two fans are the tall rectangular smart fans. They cost over $140 and don't even push out half of the air that this one does. If you like it windy, I encourage you to buy this fan!!

Overall a very nice fan for the price. I had an older Lasko fan that finally gave out so I ordered this Pelonis 16" fan to replace it. It's practically the same fan, though the older Lasko fan didn't have a remote, but only a 3-speed dial on the top and the oscillation control. I don't think Lasko is around anymore, and both Lasko fans and Pelonis are both made by Intertek, so they are probably the same company.Overall the quality of the fan seems good for the price. The remote works well. Remote requires two AAA batteries, which are not included. The base for this fan is nice and heavy, but not overly cumbersome. I owned an old Lasko fan about 12 years ago (not the one I replaced) and it had an extremely wide plastic based that was almost twice as large as the base for the new Pelonis, so that was nice. Everything is mostly part for the course except for two things which I will explain now.First of all, I use a fan mainly for the noise it generates so that I can sleep. I am very sensitive to outside noises and like to have the sound of a fan to sleep to. This fan is definitely louder than my old Lasko fan. I even removed the Pelonis fan blades and put my old Lasko fan blades on, which helped slightly, but the fan is still pretty loud, and I've noticed that it takes me longer to fall asleep, and when I was up in the morning, I feel like my ears and brain have been overstimulated during the night. I'm not sure if this will improve as I get used to the fan, but I'm hoping it will. So I'm really on the cusp about recommending this fan for people who want a quiet fan for sleeping. It's much louder than my old fan, but given my old fan has been dying a slow death, it may have slowed down a bit over the past 6 months or so.I have been running the fan on the high speed setting to break it in, then using the low speed setting for sleep, but now I'll discuss my next complaint. The three fan speeds are not much different. Low, Medium and High, or 1, 2, 3, or whatever you want to call the fan speeds, well, they're honestly not that different. Yes, I can hear the fan speed up slightly, but there really isn't much of a difference between the three speeds, both in speed and sound. I'm not sure if this fan is working as intended or not, but it may be an issue requiring me to return the fan back to Amazon or the manufacturer. I'm just not sure yet. For the time being, I'll keep the speed at low while I sleep and see if I get used to it. If I don't after two weeks, I'm going to need to order another fan and try something else instead.I also found myself appreciating the remote control. It's fairly basic. You can turn the fan on/off. Set the fan speed, and also set a timer. I'm not sure what the duration of the timer is, but I think 1, 2 and 3 hours? Maybe not. It's not a feature I intend to use, so it's irrelevant for me. You can't control the oscillation from the remote though, so not sure if that is a deal breaker for anyone. So overall, it's a nice fan. A bit on the loud side if you plan to sleep with it turned on in your bedroom. If not, then that shouldn't be an issue at all. There isn't much difference in fan speed or sound between the low and high settings too, so that might be an issue for some. I think if Pelonis addresses the speed issue, then there wouldn't really be anything to complain about with this fan and would have earned a 5-star from me.

The fan was very easy to set up and (even on the lowest setting) is pretty strong. I like that is has a timer setting on it, as I'm trying to cut down on energy costs, so I put it on for a few hours before bed and then go to sleep. It's a little noisy, but it's not like the fan blades are wonky...it's just electronic noise. The only thing I could complain about is the range of the remote. You need to be pretty close and pointing DIRECTLY at the sensor for it to work. Otherwise this is a great buy!
