I read the bad reviews and took a chance anyway. I also bought the stress cable to not break it again. The first time I tilted the box slowly the shock broke 1/4 the way up in the tilt with it empty. Do not waste your money!!!!!!

This is the exact same piston that comes with the Ranger. It is a bad design.

Bought this to replace the stock part that I broke (my fault). This one broke also. All I did was lift the dump bed - I was even controlling it with my hand - so no reason for it to snap off so easily.
