We have complete understanding of all our products from portable stage platforms, audio racks, to adjustable keyboard stands, because we commonly use our own pro-audio gear. Productive Wood Drum Shell Manufacturing and Modification
All of our drum shells are manufactured from hand picked quality poplar wood panels. The wood mill cuts and delivers to our factory proper sizes for our shells by a computer-controlled saw. After the gluing, rolling, drying, and sanding process, the drum shells are checked for a level check, and measured for accuracy at a 15% sample rate. Next, the laminate wrap is applied, and holes are drilled into the shell for hardware, and sands down the edges of the shell for snare beds. Next, all hardware, drum heads, and snare wires are assembled to the drum shells. Finally, before packaging and shipping to our warehouse distribution location, our quality control technician visually inspects all the drums, and does a performance sound sample with a 5% sample rate. Once the inspections passes our standards, the finished production ships direct to our loading dock, where our sound technicians perform yet another & final sound sample before being fulfilled.
We Take Sound Serious.
Our instruments and studio equipment are sound sampled by our hired sound technician. We focus on being competitive, all while not sacrificing quality of sound. Since most everyone at our brand has an extensive musical background, we are very rigorous in the sound process of equipment. Additionally, it allows us to act quickly and communicate efficiently with our factories production manager on when we see a need for improvement.
Popcorn Snare Drum by Griffin
Also known as firecracker snare drums or soprano snare drums, these 10 inch diameter snare drums feature a higher tone than regular snare drums or piccolo snare drums. The snare sounds awesome but the snare ribbon broke and when I replaced the ribbon I went to tighten up the snare lock and it stripped with minimum pressure..through bolted it and kept moving..

If you change the head and tune it correctly this is a great accent drum with a cool snappy sound. For the price you cant really beat it. Its a great change out for a standard snare to expand your sound.

This thing is amazing for the price! I ended up putting Aquarian vintage jazz head on it and it's amazing... Very comfortable for small gigs but definitely get that nice pop too and more so controlled and not over powering

The snare, like the snare stand by Griffin, is average. Nothing special, very simple and basic design. So far, so good. One of the lugz seemed to no hold one of the screws in place. but i fixed it myself. the sound is not as "pop"corn as I would like it to be but for the price it is a good deal. FYI very small and compact design to you must be precise when beating this soprano.

i mean it's a cheap-assed drum made overseas, but that's kind of the point, no, to get a cheap-ass tone ... only, the tone is quite good. does that mean wood is wood, metal is metal, and generally drums have gotten about as good as they can get?
